Did all of you mothers out there have a magical (or at least relaxing) special day? With gifts and cards and brunch and phone calls...a day brimming with appreciation for all you do and all you are?

well, let's just say the weather was divine, the family was attentive, the garden was magical...
but the garden's mistress was recuperating from a surprise appendectomy and not quite at her best.
She does, however, reserve the right to revisit the holiday, even if it encroaches a bit on Dad's big day. :)
