George, I hardly knew you....

Until I read His Excellency:  George Washington by Joseph J. Ellis, that is.  I mean, of course I knew about those wooden dentures and the whole nasty cherry tree business, but nothing much else.

So by now if you are thinking I am carrying this whole founding fathers thing a little too far, let me assure you that there is method to my madness in bringing George up.  And here it is:  his biography is just one of the many books that I have on my bookshelf and that I loan out with regularity.  Some books I really don't care if I never see again  (or would prefer that I didn't).  Others, like my historical biographies and gardening books (and boooooooyyy do I have a lot of them...),  I want to share with others, but........well.........I want them back..........where they belong.

So, to keep track of them, I recommend this:  Imprint them with an ever-so-classy custom stamp
from Expressionary Stationery (to find a personalized stamp, just click),  a wonderful on-line
source for all sorts of personalized things for book lovers.

Or you could try one like this
(did you notice that I snuck in another
 president on you......)

AND RIGHT NOW UNTIL THE END OF THE MONTH (at least that's what the flyer said), you can save 40% off your purchase by using the coupon code "SUPERHOT"
at checkout.

(I learned how to pitch a product from my mom.  Doesn't this picture remind you of Lucille
Ball in that Vega-meta-mitamen episode?  It does me.)

But seriously, I have the bee stamp (see how I use it on my tags)

Oh...............I don't get a cut of the take or anything.....really

And may I ever so meekly ask a favor of you, sweet Reader?  If you like my little blog, would you please forward to someone else who might enjoy it.... or who just needs a little cheering up.....or who might want to know you're thinking of them?  Sometimes I feel like I'm preachin' to an empty church.  Thank you ever so much,  Linda.
